School Infrastructure Development Goa | Rewa | Maihar

We upgrade government schools near our plant locations with improved classrooms, seating, sanitation blocks, drinking water facilities, libraries, and hygiene infrastructure creating safe, inclusive and engaging learning spaces for children.

Science Labs & Libraries for STEM Learning

At Maihar and other locations, fully equipped science labs and libraries have been established in government schools. “Plug-and-play” models enable students to understand scientific and mathematical concepts through application learning.

Educational Trainings and Workshops

We regularly conduct workshops with engineers and architects at leading institutions such as IIT, Kanpur to share knowledge and insights. It helps build awareness about MP Birla Cement brands.

Digital & Smart Classrooms

Computer centres and Smart Class technology have been set up in nearby government schools, supported by teacher capacity-building and annual maintenance. These initiatives help students gain early exposure to digital learning and technology-driven education.

Boosting Hygiene in Schools

Renovated boys/girls toilets with water tanks, handwashing stations, water coolers, and sanitary napkin incinerators to boost hygiene in government schools near our plants. 1,862+ students benefited.

Supplementary Learning Centres

Community-based learning centres provide remedial coaching and academic support to school drop-outs and slow learners, helping children bridge learning gaps and re-engage with formal education.

Priyamvada Birla Scholarship and Jaswant Singh Lodha Scholarship.

Thirty meritorious students from economically weaker sections get support of INR 24,000/- each, via the Priyamvada Birla & Jaswant Singh Lodha Scholarship every year. The Maihar and Mukutban units alone benefit 250+ students annually.

To support education continuity and sustainability, solar power facilities were provided to 132 girl students appearing for Class 10 examinations, ensuring reliable study conditions and promoting clean energy adoption.

Supporting the education of underprivileged children in Bhiwani & Viramgam with study material & Tuition Fee, ensuring that those from economically weaker backgrounds have access to quality learning and a nurturing academic environment.

Creating Better Learning Spaces: Model School, Butibori

Gondwana Government Upper Primary School has been developed into a model school through improved infrastructure and academic support. Renovated classrooms, safe drinking water, better sanitation, SMART boards, and learning materials have created a more engaging environment. Regular community participation and scholarship support are helping students learn better and aspire higher.

Building Stronger Foundations: Remedial Learning Centres, Mukutban

The Mukutban Unit operates three Remedial Learning Centres that support 84 students across three villages in strengthening their foundational learning. A structured curriculum helps bridge learning gaps, improve classroom attendance, and build academic confidence. The centres are helping students stay engaged in school and achieve better learning outcomes.

Creating Inclusive Learning: Support for Students with Disabilities, Butibori

More than 120 students with disabilities at Rashtramata Bahu Uddeshiya Shikshan Mandal have benefited from improved learning facilities supported by the Butibori Unit. Teaching-learning materials, classroom furniture, and an open gym have created a more inclusive environment, helping students learn, develop skills, and participate with greater confidence.

Scholarship support from Bikram Coal Mines is helping girls from economically disadvantaged families continue their education with confidence. For students like Sapna, financial assistance has made higher education possible while easing the burden on their families. The initiative is encouraging more girls to stay in school and pursue brighter futures.

Learning That Opens New Doors: Ujjwal Mehra, Bikram Coal Mines

Academic mentoring at the BCL Supplementary Learning Centre helped Ujjwal Mehra qualify for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test. As the first child in his community to achieve this milestone, he has shown how consistent guidance and academic support can help students realise their potential and inspire others.

Interactive SMART board learning has transformed classroom teaching at Gejondihi High School.
