Ankuram Programme - Mother & Child Healthcare

A comprehensive maternal and child health programme focused on reducing mortality and high-risk pregnancies. Providing monthly health check-ups, nutritional supplementation, immunisation and Infant & Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices, we ensure healthy development of vulnerable families.

Arogya Sakshi - Community Health Volunteers

Trained women volunteers provide home-based neonatal/maternal care in remote areas, aiding deliveries, newborn monitoring, follow-ups, and preventive health, thus slashing risks. 14 deployed across 12 villages in Satna, Maihar, Chittorgarh.

Mobile Medical Units & Free Health Camps

Free health check-up and treatment camps are organised across villages near plant locations through mobile medical units, hospitals and OPDs, delivering primary healthcare, diagnostics, along with financial aid for needy patients. Over 18,791 villagers across six states received treatment through these camps.

Preventive & Curative Child Healthcare

Focused interventions include institutional delivery support, child vaccination, Pratham Aahar nutrition, spot-feeding practices, antenatal and postnatal care, and malnutrition management for children in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, strengthening both care delivery and early-life outcomes.

Free Eye Check-up & Cataract Surgery Camps

Specialist-led eye camps in remote villages provide screening, medicines, spectacles and surgical interventions. A total of 7,611 elderly and underprivileged persons have been treated across West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Safe Drinking Water in Government Hospitals

Installation of RO filters, water coolers and Water ATM units in government hospitals and surrounding villages ensures access to clean drinking water for all. Key installations include facilities at Raebareli District Hospital, Butibori Government Hospital and Mukutban-adjacent villages.

Apna Ghar Project

Through support to the Apna Ghar Shelter Home, a 100-bed facility established in September 2024, MP Birla Group enables care for destitute and abandoned individuals—ensuring access to healthcare, nutritious food, safe shelter and basic necessities.

Healthy Beginnings for Newborns: Baby Kit Support, Durgapur

The ANKURAM Baby Kit Support Program equips new mothers in Durgapur with newborn care essentials and practical guidance on hygiene. With access to baby care items and safe caregiving practices, mothers are better prepared to care for their infants. The initiative has improved newborn hygiene, reduced infections, and strengthened mothers’ confidence.

Building Community Health: Frontline Worker Training, Durgapur

Anganwadi Workers and ASHAs in Durgapur received training in maternal and child health, nutrition, growth monitoring, and early identification of malnutrition and anaemia. Their strengthened skills have improved home visits, timely referrals, and community awareness. The programme has enhanced healthcare access and encouraged healthier practices across the community.

Communities Leading Better Health: Active VHSNC Engagement, Durgapur

Village Health Nutrition Sanitation Committees in Durgapur are strengthening local healthcare through better planning, sanitation, and nutrition awareness. Regular monitoring, and coordination with government departments have improved service delivery. The initiative has encouraged greater community participation and better access to essential health services.

A New Vision for Independence: Ambika Das, Durgapur

Free cataract screening and surgery restored Ambika Das's eyesight, helping him regain independence in his daily life. Once dependent on others due to poor vision, he now carries out routine activities with renewed confidence. Supported under the DCW CSR Program, the initiative has restored sight, dignity, and quality of life for thousands of elderly beneficiaries.

A New Lease on Life: Awadhesh Kumar, Rae Bareli

At 60, Awadhesh Kumar regained his eyesight after receiving free cataract surgery through a Birla Corporation Limited health camp. The treatment helped him resume daily activities, move independently, and reconnect with everyday life. His journey reflects how timely healthcare can restore confidence, dignity, and independence.

Celebrating Healthy Starts: Healthy Baby Show, Kundanganj

The Healthy Baby Show assessed the growth and development of 152 children across nine Anganwadi Centres while creating awareness among caregivers. Mothers, grandmothers, and Anganwadi Workers learned to identify developmental milestones and support early intervention. The initiative has strengthened community awareness and encouraged healthier beginnings for every child.
