Strengthening Community Infrastructure

Renovation and upgradation of community halls, school buildings, access roads, public spaces and burning ghats, creating safer, functional and inclusive infrastructure across Kundanganj, Chanderia, Durgapur and adjoining regions. More than 2,000 villagers in 6 villages have benefitted from these activities.

Water Security & Supply Infrastructure

Construction of drinking water tanks, installation of submersible pumps, deepening of ponds, and creation of soak pits. Complemented by water literacy workshops, these efforts ensure reliable access to safe water for thousands across Satna, Maihar and Kundanganj.

Rainwater Harvesting Systems

Dedicated rainwater harvesting structures at Durgapur and other locations help capture, store and reuse rainwater, supporting groundwater recharge and reducing seasonal vulnerability.

Watershed Development

Soil and water conservation initiatives across Satna, Chanderia and Durgapur safeguard natural resources, restore ecological balance and support sustained agricultural productivity for farming communities. More than 28,000 villagers in 17 villages around our plants benefitted from these activities

Social Forestry & Afforestation

Large-scale plantation drives across villages, schools, hospitals and community lands. Beautification of public gardens and green belts strengthens local ecosystems and enhances community well-being. More than 3,200 plantations were made at our Chanderia and Sial Ghoghri locations

Rural Electrification

Installation of transformers and streetlights across villages in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan improving movement, safety and productivity after sundown. 5 villages of MP, UP & Rajasthan have benefitted from this activity.

Every Drop Counts: Safe Drinking Water for 22,000 Lives, Mukutban

Through BCL's Community Water ATM initiative, over 22,000 people across project villages now have access to safe, affordable drinking water. With 19 Water ATMs installed, families no longer have to rely on unsafe water sources or travel long distances to collect water. The initiative has reduced the risk of water-borne diseases while saving time and effort, especially for women and children.

Paving the Way to Progress: A Road That Changed Lives, Mukutban

With the construction of a blacktop road in Persoda village, over 2,000 residents now have safe, all-weather connectivity. Improved roads have made daily travel easier for school-going children, women, farmers, and emergency services while reducing travel time to essential services. Better access to education, healthcare, and markets has strengthened mobility, safety, and everyday convenience.

Building Healthier Futures: Model Anganwadis in Durgapur

Through BCL's Model Anganwadi initiative, more than seven Anganwadi Centres have been transformed into safe, child-friendly, and hygienic spaces. The upgraded centres have strengthened access to maternal and child healthcare, nutrition, immunization, early childhood education, and health awareness. Improved infrastructure has also encouraged better hygiene practices while increasing community participation and trust in essential public services.

Safety and Dignity: Empowering Girls Through Better Sanitation in Maihar

Through the construction of school toilets, BCL has created safer and more dignified learning spaces for girls in Maihar. Access to clean, functional sanitation facilities has improved hygiene, boosted confidence, and reduced absenteeism, particularly during menstruation. By addressing a critical infrastructure need, the initiative has helped more girls stay in school and continue their education.

Reviving Watersheds, Revitalizing Lives in Satna

Through its watershed development initiative, BCL has strengthened water security and made farming more resilient across Satna. The intervention has created over 2.2 lakh cubic metres of water storage capacity while conserving more than 5,000 acres of topsoil, improving access to irrigation and drinking water. Better soil moisture and reduced erosion have supported higher crop yields, while community-led Water User Groups help sustain these gains for the future.

Forecasting Prosperity: Digital Weather Advisory for Farmers – Chanderia

BCL's Automatic Weather Monitoring Station in Chanderia enabled more than 500 farmers to make informed, climate-smart farming decisions. Timely, location-specific weather advisories have helped optimize sowing, irrigation, nutrient application, and pest management while reducing climate-related risks. By combining technology with agriculture, the initiative has improved productivity, strengthened resilience.
