Changing Lives: Women-Led Economic Empowerment

Farm and non-farm initiatives uplift weaker sections via income activities, training in Satna, Maihar, Chittorgarh, Durgapur, and Sial Ghoghri. 7,191+ women and community members benefited.

Self-Help Groups (SHGs)

SHGs supported across Chittorgarh, Durgapur, Kundanganj and Sial Ghoghri help women gain financial literacy, access credit, manage savings and collectively build stronger community enterprises, forming the backbone of village-level entrepreneurship.

Vocational Training & Micro-Enterprise Development

Skill development programmes for tailoring, beauty services, papad-making, food processing, masonry and other locally relevant skills, enable women to take up self-employment or wage-based work, near our plant locations in Maihar, Satna & Chanderia.

A Stitching Center in Maihar

Near the Sadhera Mines of the Maihar unit, a dedicated stitching centre offers a 6-month sewing and tailoring programme for women. The course combines technical training with life skills, enabling participants to earn independently.

Arogya Sakhi : Women Health Entrepreneurs

Trained female health workers deliver preventive and primary care in 12 villages across Satna, Maihar, and Chittorgarh—first point of guidance for mothers, children, and families. Over 3,000 beneficiaries reached through this programme.

Women in Agriculture & Allied Livelihoods

Women farmers are supported through training in climate-smart agriculture, nutrition gardens, horticulture and livestock management—ensuring food security, higher income, and long-term resilience for their households.

"Chhoti" to "Badi Didi": Stitching a Brighter Future, Rae Bareli

Through RCCPL's Tailoring Skill Training Centre at Kundanganj, Kajal Kashyap transformed her aspiration for financial independence into a thriving livelihood. After completing her training, she established her own tailoring shop, trained eight young women in stitching, and later returned to the centre as an Assistant Tutor. Today, she is empowering others while building a successful enterprise of her own.

From Learner to Leader: Swati's Journey of Self-Reliance, Rae Bareli

Through BCL's SAKSHAM Initiative, Swati Mishra from Rae Bareli transformed her training into a successful beauty salon business. Supported with a ₹15,000 starter kit after completing her beauty parlour course, she now earns ₹10,000 a month while achieving financial independence. Her success has also empowered her mother, who now co-manages the business. Together, they have turned a small opportunity into a sustainable family enterprise.

From Dependence to Dignity: Anna Munda's Journey, Durgapur

Through the DCW CSR Program, Anna Munda joined the Durgapur Jute Cooperative Society, gaining access to sustainable livelihood opportunities, skill development, and financial support. The initiative enabled her to earn a stable income, strengthen her family's financial security, and provide better education for her children. Today, Anna's journey reflects the impact of collective empowerment, with the cooperative also supporting the livelihoods of more than 50 women.

From Aspiration to Achievement: Manju Soy's Journey, Durgapur

Under the DCW CSR Program, Anna Munda’s life transformed after joining the Durgapur Jute Cooperative Society as a member. After completing the four-month General Duty Assistant (GDA) training, she secured a job as an Assistant to a Nurse, achieving financial independence through meaningful employment. Her journey reflects the impact of skill development in creating sustainable livelihoods, with more than 300 youth trained under similar programs.

Rooted in Resilience: Self-Reliance Through Nursery Initiative, Durgapur

Through the DCW CSR Program, five women came together to establish a plant nursery, creating a sustainable source of livelihood through collective effort. Earlier dependent on irregular income, they struggled to meet household needs. With guidance, inputs, and training from BCL CSR, they leased a piece of land and started a plant nursery. Gradually, their efforts began yielding income, enabling them to contribute steadily to their family earnings.

Empowered to Earn: Jagruti SHG's Rise, Mukutban

Through RCCPL's CSR livelihood initiative, the 10 members of Jagruti Mahila Bachat Gat established a Junka Bhakar Kendra, turning collective effort into a sustainable enterprise. Despite limited resources and no prior business experience, they built a trusted local business that now generates ₹2,500-₹3,000 in daily sales. Beyond income, the initiative has strengthened their confidence, decision-making power, and self-reliance.
